Thank you to our Assistant Captain, Bryce Jurkovac for putting together a 2 night weekend hockey tournament against the Wichita Falls Wildcats.
Our hosts, the Wichita Falls Warriors, an NAHL team, hosted us for their 1st Annual Veterans Tribute Weekend. We were treated to front row seats to Warrior games on Friday and Saturday night, followed by games against the local Wichita Falls Wildcats, a hockey comprised of local active duty, veteran, and civilian talent.
We were honored to drop the puck for Saturday nights' game against the Corpus Christi Ice Rays and help with their Toys for Tots Teddy Bear Drive!!

Fort Worth Barracudas

The Lone Star Warriors were honored to be invited to play a charity game against the Fort Worth Barracudas to raise funds for a fellow veteran family, June White. June White is wife to a Navy veteran and mother to 4 amazing children who has battled breast cancer since 2017. Unfortunately, after 4 years of remission, June was not feeling herself and learned she has stage 4 inoperable breast cancer that has spread to most of her body. June is taking life one day at a time and enjoying life with her husband and children. We are thankful for our great hockey community here in DFW and hope our support for the Barracudas’ fundraiser helps June and her family!

EHL All Stars

Your Lone Star Warriors were proud to take the ice with Kyle Edson and his EHL (Edson Hockey League) All-Stars in order to raise funds to support Kristin Edson in her battle against a recently diagnosed brain tumor. Together we raised thousands of dollars to aid in Kyle & Kristin’s medical bills! We are very honored to skate with Kyle, his family, and former professionals of the NHL and AHL.

Rubes Brews

The Lone Star Warriors battled Rubes Brews to the end and nearly tied that game in the final minutes, but fell 4-3. We were also able to celebrate our brothers and sisters on the Dallas Warriors for their Championship Win at the Hendrickson Hockey Festive 2021!

Lone Star Warriors vs Wichita Falls Wildcats

The Lone Star Warriors were proud to be invited by local Wichita Falls veterans and active duty personnel to participate in the first ever non-professional hockey game at Kay Yeager Coliseum! After a hard fought battle, your Lone Star Warriors came out victorious 8-5. We look forward to another game with these gentlemen in the future!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the inaugural Lone Star Warriors Classic! We had an amazing group of disabled veterans, first responders, and open division hockey players and it showed in the competition. We are already hard at work making improvements for next year!

Charity Game: Dallas Knights vs Lone Star Warriors

The Lone Star Warriors hosted the Dallas Knights in a disabled veterans versus Police department holiday match-up to benefit Dallas Police Department in providing toys to local children. In the end LSW fell to the Knights 6-4, but handing out the toys collected healed all wounds. Looking forward to next years toy haul!
